Access statement
We want every patient to be able to access appropriate care safely and communicate with us comfortably.
Our clinic is located on the first floor of a Grade II listed building in Edgbaston. Unfortunately, the premises do not have step-free access. Please contact us before booking if you have any mobility, access, communication or other disability-related needs. We will discuss your individual requirements and explore any reasonable adjustments that may help.
Physical access to the clinic
Please be aware that:
- The clinic is reached by three flights of stairs.
- Handrails are not continuous throughout the staircase.
- There is no lift, stair lift or ramped access.
- There is no wheelchair-accessible toilet on the first floor of the building.
- The emergency exit route requires the use of stairs.
Because of these limitations, we cannot safely accommodate wheelchair users or patients who are unable to use the stairs safely or independently.
How we may be able to help
Depending on your individual needs and the type of care required, options may include:
- A video or telephone consultation where this is clinically appropriate.
- Helping you identify an accessible local provider where an examination or treatment must take place face to face and cannot be provided safely at our premises.
Some examinations, procedures and treatments cannot be provided remotely. Where we are unable to meet your needs safely at Midland Skin, we will explain the reason and help you consider appropriate alternatives.
Tell us about your needs
Please tell us about any access, communication or support requirements before booking, or as soon as possible after making your appointment. We consider reasonable-adjustment requests individually.
