Dr Rajpar gives expert verdict to Daily Mail on skin care product

A  simple skin care regime can help improve itching and dryness. Apply a moisturiser regularly and avoiding soaps. Moisturisers come in a range of thicknesses – lotions are the least greasy, creams are intermediate, and ointments (such as Vaseline) are the greasiest.  Our advice is to pick a moisturiser that’s greasy enough to control the degree of dryness you have but also easy to apply. Your doctor will be able to recommend one based on your skin type. Avoid soaps as these dissolve the grease on skin and make it more prone to dryness. Several good soap substitutes are available at most pharmacies.
