Don’t forget your hat as good weather marks the start of summer today

dont forget your hat

A timely improvement in the weather today has coincided with the meteorological start of the summer season, officially the first of June. So as we say goodbye (at least temporarily) to the jet stream which brought us hail, wind and rain to produce the coldest May in recent times, the team at MSI wish you a pleasant sunny weekend, and take the opportunity to remind you of a few pearls to protect your skin and keep it safe from sun damage :

  • Wear a hat with a large brim
  • Apply plenty of high factor sunscreen (SPF 30 or above) every 3 hours
  • Stay in the shade if you can

This still applies if you’re not on a beach or on holiday as the sun can still catch you while you’re out and about in this country.
