Avoid the ‘Spock’ Eyebrow with correct anatomical use of Botox

The picture of Zoe Lucker in today’s Daily Mail (see link here) highlights how easily an undesirable eye brow position can be created with Botox (botulinum toxin). The ‘V’ shaped ‘Spock eyebrow’, which is especially apparent on raising the eyebrows (see fifth picture down in the article), does not look very endearing (to most).

We avoid this look by micro-dosing botulinum toxin in the muscles that lower the brow (namely the Depressor supercilii and also along the outer portion of the orbicularis muscles, under the brow) with further micro-dosing  in the frontalis (forehead muscle) above the outer eyebrow if necessary. This gives a more evenly raised brow without a sharp ‘boomerang’ angle.

Correct anatomical usage of Botox leads to more natural results.
