Mr Michael Odeke

• Plastic and laser surgeon
• MBChB, Makerere. This is a medical degree and shows I am a doctor.
• FRCS (Glasg) FRCS (Ed) FRCSI. This stands for Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Edinburgh & Ireland. This is obtained after years of surgical training.

Mr Michael Odeke is a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon and Laser Specialist.

Training

Mr Odeke completed medical school in Makerere and then dedicated his time exclusively to becoming a surgeon.

Experience

Mr Odeke completed his surgical training through the Northern Ireland training scheme, gaining experience in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery. He later spent three years in Saudi Arabia, where he helped establish a regional Plastic Surgery service.

In 1989, Mr Odeke returned to England and played a key role in developing the NHS laser service at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, where he served as the responsible clinician undertaking multiple cases of laser surgery per year.

With nearly 30 years of experience working with lasers, Mr Odeke performs all aspects of laser surgery.

Mr Odeke also offers local anaesthetic skin surgery and has a specialism in the modern medical management of scars.

For numerous years, Mr Odeke was medical director for Sk:n Clinics in the West Midlands.

He remains current in the field by regularly attending conferences such as BMLA, 5CC, Laser Europe, Scars, and IMCAS.
